Famous for its unique archeology complex, and located at the top of the mountain, the name of Pisac comes from the design of an Andean construction which takes the form of a plateau. The complex has inhabited areas that form part of a grand residential settlement, with superimposed terraces, ceremonial temples, underground wells, and the largest known Inca cemetery.

Ollantaytambo

Ollantaytambo

A well-maintained stop along the Inca Viracocha, this place has architecture built into the mountains, and was constructed as a military, religious, administrative, and agricultural complex. Ollantaytambo is the only Incan city that is still mostly intact, and currently you can find that the inhabitants have maintained its original design. You can see high staircases, aqueducts, and enclosures, which all carry a great importance for its preserved quality and unique rose-colored granite finish.
